Engineering Excellence:
Comprehensive Guide to Our On-Site Installation & Commissioning Service
At FHOPEPACK, we understand that purchasing a Steel Coil Packing Line is only half the investment; the other half is ensuring it is installed, integrated, and commissioned to operate at peak efficiency. Our on-site service is not just about assembling parts—it is a rigorous engineering process governed by ISO 9001 quality standards and IEC 60204-1 safety protocols.
This document outlines our standardized workflow, from engineer deployment to final system acceptance, ensuring transparency and technical precision at every step.
Phase 1: Engineer Arrangement & Pre-Deployment
Before our team sets foot on your site, we initiate a thorough preparation phase to ensure resource readiness and safety compliance.
The Technical Team
We do not send generic laborers. We deploy a specialized cross-functional team tailored to your specific system configuration (e.g., 1-3T Capacity Lines).

Pre-Site Documentation
Prior to travel, we share the following for your review:
Phase 2: On-Site Installation Execution
Upon arrival, our focus shifts to physical assembly and precision alignment. We follow a strict "Safety First" approach, implementing Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures immediately.
1. Mechanical Installation
We install major components sequentially to maintain site logic and flow.
2. Electrical & Safety Installation
All wiring is executed in strict accordance with IEC 60204-1.
Secure mounting and verification of environmental rating (IP54/NEMA 12).
Separation of power cables (VFD outputs) and signal cables (Ethernet/Sensors) to prevent EMI noise.
- Installation of E-Stops (Dual-channel wiring).
- Light Curtains: Precise optical alignment and safety distance calculation.
- Interlock Switches: Non-contact coded magnet installation on all guard doors.
Installation Phase: Rigorous adherence to safety and mechanical standards.
Phase 3: Commissioning & System Integration
Once physical installation is complete, we move to the "Logic Phase." This is where the machine comes to life.
Step 1: Pre-Commissioning Checklists
We never energize the system without verification.
- Mechanical: Fastener torque checks, lubrication verification, freedom of movement checks.
- Electrical: Continuity tests, Insulation Resistance testing (>1 MΩ at 500VDC), Grounding/Bonding integrity.
Step 2: Functional Testing (Component Level)
We test each module individually before full integration.
- Motors: Direction and speed control verification.
- Sensors: I/O mapping verification on the HMI.
- Data Interface: Establishing OPC UA / Modbus TCP links with your MES/ERP system for real-time data exchange (Order IDs, Weights, Status).
Step 3: Integrated System Testing (Dry Run)
We run the full automatic sequence without a load to verify logic flow, timer settings, and interlocks between stations (e.g., ensuring the Tilter doesn't rotate until the Wrapper is ready).
Phase 4: Performance Acceptance Testing (PAT)
This is the final exam. We prove the machine meets the guaranteed performance metrics using your actual production coils (1-3T).
We verify the following KPIs during the PAT run:
| Metric | Target Value | Verification Method |
|---|---|---|
| Throughput | 20 Coils/Hour | Continuous run counting processed coils. |
| Cycle Time | 180 Seconds/Coil | Time measurement from entry to discharge. |
| Packing Quality | < 2% Defect Rate | Visual inspection of film tension and sealing. |
| Weighing Accuracy | +/- 0.1% | Comparison against calibrated test weights. |
| System Availability | > 95% | (Total Run Time - Fault Time) / Total Run Time. |
Phase 5: Troubleshooting & Final Handover
We believe in leaving you with a solution, not just a machine.
Issue Resolution (The Punch List)
During commissioning, any non-conformities are logged in a shared Issues Log.
- Categorization: Mechanical, Electrical, Software, or Safety.
- Resolution: We do not leave the site until critical "Punch List" items are resolved and signed off.
Training & Documentation
We provide hands-on training for your operators and maintenance staff, focusing on:
- Operation: HMI navigation, recipe management, and auto-recovery.
- Maintenance: Lubrication schedules and sensor cleaning.
- Safety: Emergency procedures and LOTO zones.
The Final Handover Package Includes:
-
As-Built DrawingsElectrical & Mechanical
-
O&M ManualsFor all OEM components
-
Validation CertificatesSigned PAT Reports & Safety Validation
-
Software BackupPLC/HMI Source Code
